As the summer days start to wane and autumn's crispness begins to seep into the atmosphere, another chance for a new chapter in cultural community life is almost ready to unfold within our community. The Bolingbrook Philharmonic Orchestra is delighted to bring to everyone's attention that it will launch its inaugural season—the experience the organization envisions to continue resounding throughout the years ahead. This is not just the birth of an orchestra; it's a community born, bound together by the power of music.
A Dream Realised
The BPO was established on the principle that music can change lives. Thus, it is formed to provide Bolingbrook and its surrounding areas with the enjoyment and inspiration one gets from orchestral music. Our goal is to make classical music available to all people while building a sense of community and creating opportunities for local musicians to perform at a high level.
Our inaugural season is going to be filled with excitement, exploration, and excellence. Guided by Founder, CEO, and Principal Conductor Montgomery Henry, the BPO will perform a series of concerts with chosen works from beloved masterpieces along with newer ones by living composers. Programming is carefully selected to assure that every performance includes something for everyone—from longtime classical music lovers to those who are new to the symphony.
A Season of Firsts
Our debut concert will be a milestone in Bolingbrook’s cultural history. The program will include a mix of classical favorites and contemporary gems, showcasing the orchestra’s versatility and commitment to dynamic programming. During the season, they’ll also be featuring a special performance of a newly commissioned work that reflects the spirit and diversity of our community.
But that's not where the firsts stop. This season we will start to work with local artists, provide education programs and outreach opportunities to take the beauty of music out into our community. Through our main stage goals, community appearances, or our programs for children, the BPO is here serving you, our community.
